hello good friends of Dk have an issue with a 2008 ISX CM 871 engine. Loosing coolant Not sure exactly where. Have run several test and have run EGR Cooler test with insite and best I can tell not losing any coolant there. Thinking about pulling an oil sample to see if any coolant is getting in the oil. This doesn't happen until the engine starts cooling off then you can slowly see the coolant tank begin to drop. have to add coolant every 2 days it was about once a week and its getting progressivly worse. Any big thanks in advance.

when you say run EGR cooler test in insite, have you had the cooler pressure tested, using shop air and see if it leaks out.


Other area may be air compressor any signs of coolant in air system.

cracked head, turbo, and doser inj for DPF, have to say seen hundreds of EGR coolers but not many of the others.

The egr cooler test with Insite works ok when egr cooler is clogged and not cooling down egr gases.First thing first is pressurize cooling system and check for leaks.If none found around outside engine check outlet side of egr cooler then doser injector.
