I'm looking at this from Amazon for ?55.97 although delivery is out 2-4 weeks from them direct.

If I crack it open do you think it will fit (I ask as I have seen somewhere that some USB drives cannot be taken apart to mount the drive), although I'm pretty sure that was a WD.

This one here will fit and its slightly cheaper with delivery and no need to take out of an external case.

Does anyone know if the 12.5 mm thick drives will fit in the solo2?
I would really prefer to get a1.5 tb drive, and as far as I'm aware, the max in the 9.5 mm is 1 tb.

I cannot see why not there is plenty of space between the standard 9.5mm and the top of the case
