Read/write as 16 bit if:
- The pin 6 (ORG) is connected to pin 8 (VCC).
- The pin 6 (ORG) is left unconnected.

Read/write as 8 bit if:
- The pin 6 (ORG) is connected to pin 5 (GND)

just stick it in the programmer and use the first chip option you show....

all you need a sop8 universal pin to pin adapter.....
it pretty simple......

you have a very good programmer m8!
but as far as i know you cant read it this type of chip inboard with a clip...only 24c02 can be read inboard.....

you need a pin to pin universal adapter......

and yes!
the first chip type is fine......

you must desolger!

ok thanks
i might leave this one then
ill try chase up another ecu for myself as a spare to learn on
i dont want to stuff up a properly working set

i have some new 93c56 chips so if i can find a 2000 model ls400 dump i can play with it and with the transponders im getting

so basically i need long legs to clip into the programmer and the other end to hook onto the legs of the 93c56 chip
im going to order this
Socket Chip-Programmer Adapter-Chip Socket-Chip Programmer Socket-Online Shopping (http://www.xcar360.com/chip-programmer-socket-sop8.html)

Hi is easy; just connect your progrmmer and launch the software and select 93c56 and valid; is not necessairy to choose 8bit or 16bit

Thanks
I'm just worried about removing chips hehehe
I solder car wiring 8 hours a day so I have to learn to be delicate if I start removing chips

I need to do the same read erase write etc
Can you help advise?

Or am I totally wrong?
Never used anything like it so I really don't know
