I have a problem with date/time settings on T30 laptop with DIS on HDD, starts up as normal but then shows time and date screen. Can do F1 boot and change things but seems to make no difference. Was working fine untill now. I removed HDD and refitted it but now shows OS not found. Did same thing when I first got it and cant remember what I did to get it running :hmmmm2:

It might be that your battery is dead and that BIOS is reporting bad time.

Thats a thought I had also. You mean the cmos battery right?
BM T30 CMOS Battery Replacement - Default BIOS Password

When the CMOS Battery fails in an IBM T30 Laptop. An Error appears and asks for a Password.

1. Replace the dead CR2032 Battery
2. At boot up -Press F1
3. Enter password ***8220;service***8221;
4. Set the time and date
5. Press ***8220;F10***8221; to save.
6. Laptop will boot normal.

DIS seems to boot normally, and the window that finally opens is part of the BMW program not IBM so
not sure anymore, anyone else???
