Hi,
Object = to clone a S3000 ( flash & eeprom )

In a fully working 53 plate megane 2 1.6

I swapped ECU for n unknown origin unit, then tried to read with FG tech.

basicaly the ECU has to be turned on to read but because the code was wrong it won't turn on. So re-set rolling code in 95160 and the car started.

Then tried to read with FG tech, this time worked, read it no problem ( put in gear kept start button pressed while read taking place.)

Next tried to write back the file I had just read = fail

After this the fan runs permintatly and the car won't start. ( refit original ECU car runs fine )
Clip will not find the ECU, my guess is that its fried.

Has anyone managed to write OBD or on bench? What did you use.

Thanks

I have similar problem with S3000 on Laguna 2.0T - so i read it with K-Tag master original make tuning and write back- car start work about 3-4min and error apear "Check injection" on board. After little investigation proved that K-Tag dont fix checksumm for that ECU. So i try with MagPro original too- same story. FGtech same story..... So the only chance was KessV2 - read only tuning maps and correct checksumm correct.
Maybe this will help you

Hi,
played a bit more.

Used MPPS V5
Read ecu ok
Get a warning that I must read checksum, click on checksum button, I am then asked to name a file but after I have the file doesn't seem to be saved?
Wrote the file = ok car starts and i have run it for 15 mins.
Not sure whats going on with checksum button but it worked.
