Hi All, new to this forum not sure if I am posting this in the correct section or not, anyway
I have a skybox f3 for about 2 weeks now, The picture is constantly breaking up and freezing, The SNR hovers between 74% and 76%, I have it connected with a eithernet cable to my tp link router, my download speed is about 6mb, its a 60cm dish, SkyUK, The FTA is perfect but all other are terrible.
On other forums their seems to be lots of issues with the F3, I am thinking of changing it for a Vu+Duo. I don't mind paying for quality
Just want to get some feedback on if you think its the setup I have rather than the box. Thanks in advance.

If F.T.A. is fine but scrambled channels aren't, I'd look at your method of viewing the scrambled channels.
Not really allowed to discuss it on here though.

Doesn't sound like your box then. More like your extras which will be the same on a Duo if from the same place.

i have both box's, both working fine, have them hard wired.
i agree with DW190, if your getting the extras off the same chap, dont matter what box you get, you will still have the same problems on ppv channels.
doesnt matter about your speed that much, 6m is plenty,
your snr looks ok, and im running both of a sky dish,
though tuner b on the duo, does run off a motor 1.2m dish.

Yesterday it was brutal, tried to watch the Arsenal V Liverpool game and I had to turn it off, so after that I powered it off completely and didn't turn it on again until this eve, its running now for 2 hours with no problems, Could it be over heating? Is it possible to have a box that never freezes or scrambles?, thanks for the info, I am learning a little every day

Wired to router as opposed to wireless I guess.

septicsmurf, your right.
have a cat5 cable running from the router to my stb.
kellogs23, the box isnt the issue, because i bet your free view channels dont freeze.
its how you get, your ppv channels thats the problem,
if you want 100% non freezing or scrambled channels,
pay for a sky subscription

We all know why we're here....if he wanted a sky sub he'd be on a different forum.
Your problem is your c line supplier....sound like the server is shite.
dont change the box just change your server
Simples
No point pussy footing around with shit talk....thats the long and the short of it.
Freck
p.s.
VU are a superior box tho:celtictop:

Spot on freck, sick of paying through the teeth for everything here, the way its going it wont be worth my while working, but that's a different debate for another day, will stick with the f3 for now and as you say try a few different servers. cheers

freck, i know why were all here, prob the same reason your here, the guy was asking is it possible to get a freeze free box, and like i suggested.....
i think even the best supplier in the world, will still have the odd glitch now and again.
but your right seems like the chap does need to get a better supplier.
kellogs23, stick with the f3, till your fully up and running, and happy with your whoever you get the line off
