For some reason my phone has started to only charge to 70%. Any ideas people..??

I've not seen it in a mobile phone, but it could be a setting that's changed.

I have no idea where this memory comes from....

75% charging was introduced (possibly in laptops) to help with battery cycle lifespans. Murky depths are clearing slightly... My Samsung netbook has this option.

Check in the battery menu within settings. I have no idea if I'm anywhere near right.


After that try resetting the phone. Back up your sh!t before hand.

Then it's looking at a battery fault.

ive replaced the battery and still the problem persists..

Just done some reading.

Some say it's a charger/cable fault.

But there is a strong following that say 'a blow in the hole' will sort you out.

Dust & crap in the usb port causes charging issues. Just be careful if you're thinking of sticking something in it. Use wood or plastic, not metal. And stay away from the four metal contacts.

Number one tip... If you bend it... it will break.
