Hello,
so i have now the new V53,
Hardware is different than old 3 Led and 1 Led.

When i try to start eobd2.exe
first problem is this:
Who can help?

Have you tried all steps as follows:
- set system date to 2013 Jan 1
- install usb dongle drivers (run .exe file)
- install FGTECH drivers (if you have previous version installed force system to use new drivers)
- re-write eeprom with FG file.
?

I collected mine today, will try to install it on my laptop tonight.

have tried usb fix from 3 led and soft 3 led result =
with 3 led soft opens up but you can not see any voltage in soft.

so i think usbfix is for v53 bad

I have the same story with my device.
You may be right there is something about USBFIX,
I wrote eeprom with supplied "FG" file and read right after writing,
the file read from eeprom differs from "FG", so it seems USBFIX does not write eeprom correctly.

As per missing license I think it's not the problem, look at this: FGTech V53 install video - YouTube - he starts the software right after installation, without any licence issues.

Wrong FTDI232R DUMP , and if you deleted original Ithink no more fix ..
If is real HW for 2012 SW , If its fake then I am wrong ...

In case was supplied with good DUMP in FTDI then was need other fix SW not USBFIX which change full other DUMP ,,,

EU cloner know very good about what I speak ...

As far as I could see, the software will see the tool still as a V50 hardware or something like this. So until a valid EEPROM is found I think this will never work.

Think maybe a CLEAN machine needed where the previous versions have never been installed.

NOTE: DO NOT TRY other FTReadWrite_v3 than the one supplied on the CD from V53 or it will erase important data from the EEPROM.

If someone has a clean VMware machine or something where he can try please let me know if it works.

Peoples you need to have valid pair MCU with FTDI.
And also valid license in FTDI.
Not a simple.And if you damage pair FTDI from your MCU then never u make it work ...
I like to I am wrong but it is 90% true.
10% is to chinese makes some good hack ..

I just want to have this thing fixed and then I can sleep at night.

If none would work I guess you could read much more about it on the net.

Setting the system date BEFORE anything else should be the key.
Anyway, I formated a machine, installed a registry monitor and as soon as the thing gets back I will start some tests.

The EOBD2 does not run on a VM , so no chance of taking snapshots and test that way :(

I backed up my FTDI even before did anything, and writting back the FTDI it came with did not help.

Don't get me wrong, but first time, chinese tools used patched ftdi library, I don't think Mr. Adolfo would fall on the same thing again.

There are many diferent protections and as some other users said, if Euro cloners didn't release it , there might be a plausible reason.

As far as I can see, when talking about OBD devices, testers, diagnostic tools etc, there is ONE or maybe 2 big warehouses that ship this items out.
ALL the china eCommerce stores are just resellers of the same factory. They all ship directly from warehouse, there are no actual items on stock.
Usually it's one person sitting in front of a computer with an e-mail address that will just sell you whatever you want as long as you wanna pay.
Most of the shops in china will have SAME owner, but different names on the store. I studied a bit a few of the most known ones and ordered a few cheap items from them.
99% of the time, they are shipped from same location, payment was made to SAME PayPal e-mail address and so long.
Also if you look after the PayPal e-mail addresses you can identify very easy a few shops that have the same owner, but just different names.
EVERY single seller when faced with a problem or a refund will tell you that "she" (90% are woman) has to contact the manager and talk to him in order to issue a refund.

I would not be surprised if the stores would actually be owned by same person all of them :)

Try it on the table i must put the pin 20 on ground to read & write the ecu on the table . I write more than 20 of this ecu.

I have a problem i have read out a fiat 500 Abarth Tributo Ferrari in boot mode with fg tech. Because its impossible to read virtual via OBD. Now i have try to write the modified file into to the ECU via obd but not works it comes error checksum after writing. And the Mil Lamp is off car not running.after this i have try to write the original into the ecu that i have read out in boot mode but also the same error. Then i have write the ecu in boot mode with magpro 2 with a file with the 832kb size. Fg tech read 896kb. Now the car Run.
But the strangest one is nomally has the fgtech checksumm in writing for this ecu.

No Problem here you got. K Line is on Pin 2 Connector And you must put a Switch for ingnition Signal 12V + on the PIN 51. The Best way is you connect all Wires you need to do also the Boot Mode PIN 20 but leave the Ingtion Scwitch of OFF. Also You need to have a good ground on the Body of the ECU. Then Connect the FG Tech to the ECU and the current Then Start UP the Software choose your driver then when you want to read ecu id it comes a Window with you must put the ecu into boot mode read documents. Then pousch the Ingtion Switch on ON wait 2 - 5 Sek and push OK. Nomally this way works.

I get run Galletto v53 for IBM T30 with RAM 500Mb. But on other computers still can not run. The most interesting is that the IBM T30 program without usb dongle will not start and asked to insert it. And on the other computers the program starts with an error and usb-dongle does not ask. All computers Win XP SP3. In what could be the problem?

I have restored it on a Fujitsu siemens, but before set date to 01.01.2013.
After first boot, plug in fg install driver, make usb fix, and start fg.
Dont forget the dongle.

i have kline checked an i can say it is 50% better from hardware than old g2. so that mean it should work without problems kline.

the most important is wenn you will read or write,
and the message comes up: ignitions on-off-on dont do that,
leave ignitions on and click ok.
than you will never had any problems!:marchmellow:

EDIT: you must just make ignitions off when you have connections error message. 10 sec. off than on and try again

2, first run FTReadWrite_v3.exe
3, select writer ee
4. click g2_eep.bin
5, finish fix.
Note: fgtech galletto has a high demand on computer, if it still can not work; try to run fgtech software on another computer. When you fix the software, make sure exit anti-virus software.

Its not the problem in Software. The problem its in Firmware of Flasher. The MCU dump is from version 48, and the soft its modet to work with old HW. It is danger to use this tool in this way.

If you want to make PCR unlock you have to buy proper tool for this, that have firmware V54.

Its few EU clones outside that can handle this job.

You mean Galletto 2 doesn't work default XP ? So you got image where is special XP? I'll have also different image if defaul xp won't work. That same image maybe can use also other than DELL d630 laptops. Link found this topic.

I got my galletto 3 and now its installed. I tried two different XP, but no. I tried that Ghost -file, but there is older FGTech inside, so it was also useless.

BUT i found that image, thanks to kevfield. That XP is now installed and galletto 3 working.

.... My problem was eobd2.exe give errors when tried open it.

I finaly solved my problem by installing galleto v53 ghost image and setting the date to 1/1/2013.

The problems is that i couldn`t make it run with runasdate sw in a computer that it should run and it was always crashing.

I also installed the no dongle dll and worked fine too.

Do not buy galleto v53 from Ecutool.com They tried to fix my device and they couldn`t after that they disapeared.
Same thing happened with the v51 and some posts here helped me in order to fix my device.

To sum up the problem on galleto 3 is the following...Once you try to install it and run it to a machine that has different time
then 1/1/2013 the ept file inside the usb device gets messed..Propably a good solution for the clones but if you need to recover
the galleto you need to follow the old galleto method with the new ept and eep files.

I have attached a working pair for the chinese 2 led / 3 led clone.

The trick is to always recover the device once you have a bad date.

instructions :

1.Use 232.exe (mprog 3) from folder first
2.plug galleto 2 device
3.scan galleto 2 device
4.open from mprog3 the fg.ept file
5.program device
6.close mprog3
7.open second file
8.run FTReadwrite_v3.exe
9.write ee
10.select FG file.
11.close and done.


for no dongle replace the wibu.dll with wibu.dll_nodongle and rename it as original.

if the date is not 1/1/2013 galleto software detects it and destroys the internal memory of the device
where the ept is stored.
You have to run the usb fix again.

I finaly solved my problem by installing galleto v53 ghost image and setting the date to 1/1/2013.

The problems is that i couldn`t make it run with runasdate sw in a computer that it should run and it was always crashing.

I also installed the no dongle dll and worked fine too.

Do not buy galleto v53 from Ecutool.com They tried to fix my device and they couldn`t after that they disapeared.
Same thing happened with the v51 and some posts here helped me in order to fix my device.

To sum up the problem on galleto 3 is the following...Once you try to install it and run it to a machine that has different time
then 1/1/2013 the ept file inside the usb device gets messed..Propably a good solution for the clones but if you need to recover
the galleto you need to follow the old galleto method with the new ept and eep files.

I have attached a working pair for the chinese 2 led / 3 led clone.

The trick is to always recover the device once you have a bad date.

instructions :

1.Use 232.exe (mprog 3) from folder first
2.plug galleto 2 device
3.scan galleto 2 device
4.open from mprog3 the fg.ept file
5.program device
6.close mprog3
7.open second file
8.run FTReadwrite_v3.exe
9.write ee
10.select FG file.
11.close and done.


for no dongle replace the wibu.dll with wibu.dll_nodongle and rename it as original.

if the date is not 1/1/2013 galleto software detects it and destroys the internal memory of the device
where the ept is stored.
You have to run the usb fix again.

I do not understand your answer! I know very well that V53 reads and writes marelli 8DF .. I wonder if it is possible to integrate this protocol in version V50 with an LED! I know that this is possible but I have not found around the network information ..

Propably the sw you are using is not the same as mine. My sw came from ecutool but without those modifications it couldn`t work.

run China v53 in interrnet connection and adaptor not work :(
Mprog + FTReadwrite_v3.exe more don't help to recover adapter operation :(
writes - the program carried out the inadmissible instruction and will be closed.
I tried to set again on new Windows xp - the same error.
problem in the adapter.

Problem sloved i use runas date and install files for Asian languages after that use FGfix and all working good,tested edc15,edc16,edc17 all work :D

I noticed that without the lpk.dll file (of shit) the v53 does not start
for info lpk.dll the file is a trojan

Yes, in gost image of v53 99% are viruses, but the one in fgtech directory, it is legitimate and needed to run the sw peoperly. ;)

yesterday I recive the V53 from gocardiag !
the one width fancy box !
I didin"t use the gost image that came on DVD !
I use one SW, that find on web !
I try V54 at first, but give same error for renuval FW tool !
but only open after I install chinese language in PC , I test it on edc15 Vm+ k-line and work"s good !

Now let"s start to change some part"s !
