its called DM8000 mate, a dbox is a completely different box... What info do you need, have checked out the box specs?

Its expensive and i personally would advise against buying one. It maybe HD but catv only has BBC HD to watch. To start off you should consider a cheaper box as there is far more support and they will be easy for you to learn with.. I would recommend you get a DM500C clone or a DM600C....

Ok, I am confused now, are you wanting to pick up cable or satellite TV or both?

For some reason i though it was a cable receiver you were after initially and also thought this thread was in the cable section originally...

Obviously if you are after satellite then there are far more HD channels...

Can you confirm BBC HD is the only HD service available on cable, at present using dreambox 500c well happy with it have all channels, is there alot more channels available on sat! including HD ?
And is this by card sharing

there is definately only BBC HD available for cable viewers... There are more on satellite but i do not have this set up so cannot give precise info. I am aware that you will have more but which ones i cannot say, with sat channels it obviously depends on your kit, if you have a motorized dish then you will see more satellites and there will be more channels available to you.
