Hi, Folks, does someone have experience, info or whatever that can help me to do this dashboard. Infact this is not the dash, customer says that this car des not have regular dash like mini cooper 2005 for example. I'm uploading pictures. Please tell me what is inside, is there test point, so not to disasemble it, because of the arrow. I have to change km and also vin. Old one (original from car is broken) Thank you in advance

Be carefull, some of them are like those MAZDA 6 motors

once you pull the axle complete out, you're in trouble...

Use puller, same one as bmw economy meter tool to remove needle .

Yeah sure, until you have the one with the heavy fixed needle. Then it IS a problem when you "only pull out"

Usually very hard to pull because of cold weather, get some heat gun and you should be able to pull them with ease. :hmmmm2:

had a couple that you could pull out with no problem but also had 1 that shaft came out with the needle like the mazda motors.

I've had several that brought the spindle with the needle - still go back together if you take it gentle..
