I have a sprinter to make keys for, well, sort of!!

All keys were lost, other guy made new key, now new key lost but old key found, but say start error on dash.

What did first guy do to dissable old key?

Any way of reinstating this key?

Never done a sprinter before so in the dark on this one.

Thanks for any info, ninja

start error is because van had new keys programmed by someone else, now old keys give start error, so this is not the problem here.

Anyone know a way to re instate old keys?

start error is because second key was probably erased ,Ninja best way is to remove immo box and read hc08 ,should be behind cluster , keys can be written in on the bench .
if stuck read dump and post it , also read key and post logic .

You can make it, or just use wires from a plug!

Or bring it over and I can do it for you!

WL016 - X-PROG/XPRO-M Cable Assembly - 16 WAY Test Supplies | IC Clips & IC Test Equipment | 8 Pin Soic Zif & Adapters (http://www.warwickts.com/wl016--x-progxpro-m-cable-assembly--16-way-p610)

you could try this to connect up to x-prog by pushing into described pins and cut off main plug , thats all you need as its 6 wires needed to be soldered onto board.

Hi squirrelbandy, is there any chance you can give me access to these pics please. I put up a Vito and 2 Sprinter jobs into hard basket in the last 9 months. So would like to learn about this. Thanks
