fiat punto mileage flashing

fiat punto 2008 cluster mileage flashing, there is also no comms with airbag module, customer not sure whats happened says he bought it damaged. has had airbag module cleared, but i think it hasnt been done right.

what i want to knw is will the airbag unit cause the mileage flashing or has been cluster been changed and need proxy alignment

try Proxy alignment first - any node which is incorrectly configured will cause the mileage to blink - not just the instrument cluster.

If doesn't work, fiatecuscan or multiecuscan can do it.

yes,I have only got merc stuff, but did proxy alignment on a fiat 500 with abrites!!!!!!!

Well in that case I suggest you speak to Abrites, I just checked my menu again and its on there!

I have only Merc licence on AVDI, but it is a comprehensive scanner covering all makes.

I have done proxy alignment on at least 4 fiats with this tool!

Maybe you are not looking in the correct menu!

[note. this thread was referring to a 2008 fit punto, maybe an old model cant be done? I didnt know a Fiat could last that long!]

The abrites is a very good scanner, you then buy licences to enable you to do more in depth work such as keys,mileage correction,etc.
even if you don't buy any licence it's still an amazing tool. For example BMW erase shadow memory, fiat proxy alignment.

When fault occurs, dtc is stored also in shadow memory, along with Kim's a.t time of fault etc, similar to vag.

i have the opurtunity to try it in a fiat punto 1.2 16v year 2000 and didnt make the proxy but the option is there.
i talk to abrites they send me a new file . i try it again and it works perfect .

had a punti came in non start, but whilst computer in hand, plugged into asked airbag why light on, no comma, no module either ...

dash wasn't flashing, as I would have been REALLY excited, as I GOUND (iShit Failiure) found no start fault easy. (HATE THAT).

Would have more interacted in flashing dash, guy brought as non start.

Ok thanks zogldi for your information but i have a 2000 punto 1.2 60 with simple dash who is flashing actually and without any obd cable or multiecuscan soft and I'm interest with doing it manually,what do i have to do first ?
