What dis you provide there the VIN?
Don't think it's possible by VIN.
The request code must be something like (NNN-NNN-NNN) and you will get from that your code.

In cases when synchronization of SAM unit was lost and key teaching procedure does not help to start vehicle calculate special TAN code by VIN for synchronization of SAM. This procedure called in DAS - "Carry out control unit assignment".
