Hi I went to my local computer shop to buy a null modem cable as my openbox s10 is stuck on ON and the only one they had was mh null modem cable db9f to db25m 6ft 1.8m
Will this work thanks ?

It obviously won't work as it is, as you need a 9 pin female at each end (unless you have a very old pc with a 25 pin serial connector).
For a start you need to convert the 25 pin male end to a 9 pin female connector. I would also question whether the lead is actually a null-modem cable & not a serial one.
I don't think it's worth the effort of trying to get it working. You can get the proper leads on Ebay for under ?2, or if you are feeling flush (or desperate) then Maplin have them for ?12.99!
