2005 RANGE ROVER EWS DME KEY match

I have a customer 2005 Range Rover at my shop.

Original key (transponder) stop working, so customer believe that the problem was the blade key/tumbler (won't turn key). They destroy the mechanical part and realized after that the situation just got worse.

I did run a diagnostic on the car with T4 and founded that the transponder wasn't working.

I have now an unused matching set of TUMBLER, KEY and EWS that was abandoned / never picked up at the L R dealer shelf long time ago..

So I did install new tumbler and the vehicle crank ok but not start...obviously.

DTC code is for EWS/DME matching problem.

What is the best action plan to get the "new" ews / key working with the original DME ?

EWS/DME was matched with T4 diag tool.

DME BOSCH 0 261 207 715 R5 VIN# SALMF11495A187921
EWS 3 SW:E8 HW:03

EWS was coded originally for a different vehicle, but never paired with the intended vehicle.

I can read the EWS and the flash memory on DME, but not a clue what I'm looking at or how to do it. Should I need also to read KEY info?

btw.. I have working EWS editor...

Looks like no one have a clue about this nor the time to help me on this one... What I will try now is to add the key I have (key + tumbler) to the existing EWS using EWS editor and / or AK90. My question is.... It is possible to re write or edit the vin and needed info inside the transponder?

Hy there. i know the thread is old . i was wondering what tool is capaple to do the EWS - DDE SYNCRO for : MG TZ 2.0 D wich seems to be sport version of ROVER 75 .

It would be the same algorythm as BMW ? if yes , what bmw model is related to ?
Is bmw related or ford related protocol ?

i got one wich is not starting but i did not reach the car yet so don't know if the problem is this , i was doing only my homework :) just in case
