One of my friends in Germany ordered one. I guess he will be testing soon.
He also bought a Ktag and the only problem he had was some EDC17 in boot mode that gave error at the end reading. All rest he tested said ok.
Let's see how the Kess works. I have original Kess so we can compare what works what does not.

Hehehe :) I asked him again and he said he fixed the EDC17 problem, it was the ECU that was actually faulty or some connection to the PCB. I could not care less :)

Well... never saw VW with ME7.5.1, only Audi...and never saw ME7.5.1 With 29F800BB (only with 29F400).

None of this I could make with magpro2 or fgtech (see the topic, I?m saying just it there), only 1260 and MPPS working frawless...

you are try to read a file with antiread protection........
normally you cant read/write with G1260 or g2, no read with others tolos but can write...............
the only tool that can read/write with this simple ecusafe protection is mpps, but with some trick, can be blocked too.

If obd (K-line and can) are working and software is same as original tool, it should work in trucks 24v, just make an obd pinout and cut the 24v suply and use a small batery to suply the kess.
A bit messy with wires, but shoulnt burn componets and work if software still have truck drivers

the first issue found it's edc17 that don't work

tested today a edc17cp14 in tricore bootmode with galletto 2 3led clone modded, kess v2 clone and kess v2 ori
no id with the clone
work perfect with the ori

i don't know if internet connection is needed after 50 flash

So its obvious how they are saving with those investments. Buy cheap, clone cheap, put cheap components, sell for good price and track the DK customers which will make some solutions and sell further.

PS: cable DB25--->obd2 is the same of Genius by Dimsport...same cable pinout

I was just saying what I see in the picture you supplied, it says 1.94.

Also KTAG and Kess are 2 different tools. If I connect my KTAG then I use KTAG software not Kess.

same error appear on ori kess v2 on some old EEV Ford ecu. The only way is remove flash and use a eprom programmer

tested today edc16c2 mercedes read and write ok

the only little problem found on obd read is on marelli iaw 4af fiat, after reading fan always on, also with ignition off and car don't start. i have to disconnect battery and then connect again. car then start.
