Can anyone pls tell me what security light trying to say in this sequence on 2006 toyota
lights twice... short pause...light twice long pause; lights twice...short pause...lights twice long pause....repeating so on
Short pause==half a second
long pause= almost a second
history on this car:
this was my first experiment in my locksmith profession around a year ago. customer had valet key and tried to make a spare by toyota obd smart keymaker. i didnt know what i was doing at that time, or may be did wrong sequence of entering master and vallet key..
Ever since then this security light has been blinking in this sequence when the ignition is made on.
Poor customer finally fed up and came to me yesterday. i somehow feel responsible and need to clear it. I tried reset immo so i thought security light might go off.
tried with toyota orange obd...its gets untill three beep and no long beep at all. Tried t300's reset immobiliser on both type 2 and 4.. but nothing happens with 30 mins wait.. the timer continues to go on..
didnt try on sbb..customer was getting frustated of 1 hour wait but i promised i will resolve it.
any clue i cant reset immo even when i have proper communication
any help is much appreciated and thankfull

Code 2-2 normally means that the key is already registered which means someone screwed up programming keys by not cancelling learn mode and the car is looking for the next key to learn.
TO FIX PROBLEM >>>> Wrap YOUR key head with foil to shield transponder. Then take another key from another car with same transponder and hold the 2 key heads together and insert your key into barrel.
(DO NOT CYCLE IGNITION) once light goes out or comes on solid, pump the brake pedal 5 times with in 15 sec's to cancel learn mode.

thanks for info FLIP...
Regarding screwing up the programming :-- that was myself!!
i knew the immo is in learning mode.. i tried inserting new key to program(without turning ignition on) but nothing happens...tried to reset the immo...but all tools cant reset it..pretty much looks like immo is blocked
Do u think by inserting new key and pressing brake pedal five times will help?? coz the car is kind of far away

If you reset immo on this car, then you need to program two master and one valet key other wise the learning cicle would not close. That is the reason you had the immo loght flashing....get two master keys along with customer valet key and learn all keys to the immo. Start first with master keys and end with valet to close learning mode.

hello , is this car still working after you mess up the immo module , please post the dump , and key data .
the immo is above the glove box in a metal cage , this was design to remove dash but you can cut it with some special tool , thats all i can say

yes the car works with valet key... strange thing this car immo light(in learning mode) has been going on for almost 8 months... i tried inserting couple of master keys.. but nothing happens.. tried to reset immo by all possible programmers, gets communication but fails to reset...
I am not an expert in eeprom work so i am kind afraid to pull out immo...
can other ways to kill the light??

this toyota prado never work with ad100 pro , never and still cant do it .
you may need a pair dump to solve this problem , immo and engine ecu , post vehicle chassis number .

Didn't mean to offend, I know this because I have done it myself.
Many other trade work has come my way because of this fault of cycling the key which automatically prevents cancellation.
I wrap the key with foil any grab another key or transponder as mentioned and all is well.
I have faith this will fix your problem.
