Made a post a while ago about my Xbox 360 which was given to me. It was my fault for taking so long to come back to you so I think the thread went dead.

I have be given an Xbox 360 which I think has been flashed with he wrong key or had a bad flash/write. It is one of the first ones I think with no HDMI input and a Hitachi 47DH drive which will only read music cds and some DVD's

Smirnoff_rules posted that if it is a bad wite/flash it may be able to be saved?

How would I know if the xbox 360 has been overwritten with the wrong key or if it has had a bad write/flash. What am I looking for?

I have managed to find the original formware for this hitachi drive, would flashing it with the origianl firmware not be enough to bring it back to life.

Sorry for the basic questions but I am new to all this.

Thank you.

What version of the firmware is it?

I would probably get the key, and reflash the firmware and take it from there.

Just found this for a sammy but states would work on all drives
