The dash is a motometer with c66 inside.

Pin1=31;Pin4=30;Pin5=15;Pin6=Kl.R(15)
Pin25=TXD1=K-Line
Pin14=K-Bus(to connect other ecus on bench)
All Pins you find on the black 26pol. connector(X11175)
This pinout you can use for all e46 cars,no matter what production date.

Guys i need to change vin in this dash also (its a donor dash)
but i get a message.
check my pictures pls and maybe someone can help change or give me advice.

I also attached eep with old vin nr's are mentioned in title of the eep.

I do not know why you getting that message, I do not use that tool . I always change it in Eeprom direct.
After you write eeprom everything should be OK.

I just checked and i always get verify error (3 areas) i also tried with upa same result, i think there is some checksum or something, could you or someone recheck pls.

There is no checksum. Either your programer can not do 35080 chip or chip is bad.

Thanks for your reply, i have 93s66 inside and i tested with several programmers all the Same.
There is something in dump what makes this problem.
You can test it self by putting it in a 93s66 with programmer it wil not verify.

Any help is welcome.

Then it must be bad chip.
In any chip you can put any data that you want.
I had same problem with MB 24c16 , I was thinking my programer is acting up, but it was bad chip.
At 3 addresses did not want to write data and verified was not correct.
I got other chip and it worked just fine.
Few weeks after that had same kind of cluster with same kind of chip and did not have problem at all.

I can not see ViIN nr in the eeprom.Sometimes when i read 93c66 from E46 dash with x-prog and carprog(original) i can not read it properly.lab tool never failed.Try this dump.

I have searched the internet for 93s66 but not able to Find them in a near area, is it possible to replace it with 93c66.

Maybe someone have a good supplier in europe which sells 93s66.

Know it's a old thread but not to open another one... I have BMW e46 dash trying to power up but I only get ABS light on.... does it require can? Any info would be useful, I have only dash here not the whole car
