what are abbrevations mean

hi all i,m very very new to all this sat stuff a friend of mine put me onto openbox so i could get sly at a good price the thing is i am having a baby finding out all the abbrevations everyone talks about like (cccam,cline,card share etc,) and i would like to get to know these things so i know what i,m doing and know what everyone is talking about, as i said i,m what you call a proper dumd dumd so please treat me like one your all a good bunch of people here so thank you all in advance :marchmellow::eek::eek:

whatever is not in there is likely to be a banned subject and that is normally the reason you cannot find out the info you require, including some of the topics you mentioned

its also not an official method to get that broadcaster so you should be careful what you are saying ;)

basically you need to read,read,read,read and read some more like the rest of us had to do. google is a wonderful tool if you are willing to put the time and effort in. its all out there for you it just requires patience and trial and error. good luck,regards mdt

Th Guys have pretty much said all thats needed, there is a wealth of information on here especially in the openbox section for your receiver and everything you need to know can be found here: Openbox/Skybox (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f184/). Also just to keep within the rules we cannot discuss anything that breaches the forum rules which if you have not read have a look here: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f5/forum-rules-2/#post2.

So basically your main subject matter you originally asked about cannot be discussed in any lengh on here especially with any mention of a certain UK provider, if you get stuck please do not hesitate in asking but if it comes close to the bone so to speak try and use different terminology to get your point across in code so to speak, That way you dont break any rules and everyones happy.
