This is the box I am/was using Openbox

I was using the USB with a very long USB lead to watch some downloaded films on the PVR section of the box.

My mate came in:stupid: and tripped over it and snapped/broke the USB connection right off the front of the box.

Problem is, I had just done a factory reset and was going to install new firmware (No firmware for $$$ channels on it now)

I opened the box thinking it was easy fixed and used a heat gun to remove the offending pins/wires from the OSD pcb, but they came of the board leaving NO soldering points left.

Now I can get a USB to solder to the OSD pcb and cant put firmware on the box to watch $$$ channels.

Any ideas as to what I should do? Can I install firmware vie ethernet?

Or is it just a Null Cable I must use?

Please help as ive null-no channels now but I knw the box is fine.....

HELLLLLLPPPPPPPP

I took some pics if anyone needs them to assist me here.........

Thanks in advance!!

It's like a car without tires,if you can't record with it.

I dont think your getting me here.

The PCB is damaged. But it is working fine, except for the USB part. The time and channel numbers show up. The buttons and IR receiver work.

So, can I or cant I install the firmware and ccam.cfg through Rs232 or something similar?

you can install firmware via rs232 you may be able to install it via the lan tool as well if it works with openbox as stated above Cccam cfg by the remote manually
