Hi,
I sold the cluster to the Mercedes w203 sport coupe.
Buyer wants to set the mileage 128000.
But he has got problem, because when he mounted the cluster, it's shows only ------.
I'm not a specialist in cluster adaptation procedures.
When I powered up the dash before sending it shows 128000 and after few seconds ------. It's normal without car.
How to help him?
I know that the cluster must be adopted to the car by star diagnose. Or maybe by another tool?
And I have second question- is it better to set 0 km in mercedes cluster's (not only in w203) or set mileage which buyer want (which method is easier to adopt cluster to the car?)

Set 0 km and adapt with star

That means that the better way is always set mileage in 0 km and the adopt by star. Than the cluster is like in new mode with 0 km and is easier to adopt.

Yes.
Or if you know SSID of EZS and where is located in dash file , then you can put SSID and km , and it will work.
It does not work on his car because the SSID is not same as EZS.

What chip that dash has?

I haven't got this cluster but I have from UK version. I will check it. It's probably 93c86.
All is hard to do, because I sent this dash to another country.
I have idea to sent to him chip with old eeprom but corrected to 0 km and he must to solder this chip. But this is the last option which I want to do.
Probably he don't know the value of SSID.
To do this he must set the mileage in 0 km and then adopt the cluster.
