You can use a usb dongle a pcmia wifi card or download the viao teardown pdf an see for sure by taking it apart what the problem is broken switch pastic worn etc and source the part

Before buying other third party wireless adapters, try to verify the situation of your operating system..like check virus reinstall drivers only for the internal wireless adapter. Then if it doesnt help then sorry to tell but u have to an external adapter..u find a lot on ebay from 10$
