Hi,
Now I apologise for asking what is probably common knowledge.
I have a TomTom One XL which has the capability of inserting additional SD cards/maps and would like to put road maps of the US on it.
Being a complete novice, I am still getting to grips with it so bare with me.
I think I understand the differences between Navigator Maps (Ver 6.0, 7.0 and now 8.0) which are only used for PDA's/Symbian phones? (is this right??). But all I want is to put a map onto a new card to slot into the XL. Can the latest Ver 8.0 maps be used for TomTom units or only to be used for PDA's?
Oh and do I need to worry about stuff like keygen for example or is it a simple process of just dumping the map files (leaving folder structure intact) onto the memory card and that's it? :hmmmm2:
