why dont all you newbies get yourself a half decent box like a dm800hdse(clone) or tm5402hd for ?130 and at least future proof yourself a bit and try the hobby for what it is with a cheap 80cm motorised dish pack for ?120 and fit it yourself. the s*ybox F3 or F5 is ok as a second room box for 28.2e or whatever as there are going to be alot of "freesat boxs" when the door closes eventually. at least if you get a motorised dish you can always get fta/softcam/b.i.s.s. without a gift in sight... who no,s you might even like it,regards mdt

Did one of these for a mate a few weeks ago and they are a glorified dm500s the hd was terrible compared to my dm800.
You get what you pay for im afraid.

i second that or a nice vu ultimo with 120cm motorised dish. but not all are that motivated or intrested in the hobby and something like an f5 is cheap and a great starter box and the picture quality is brill at 1080p for the price. you would probly have to pay more for a freesat hd box.

Im a noob... but why cant we use a motorised dish with the skybox f5... cant the f5 get fta/softcam/b.i.s.s (no idea what softcam or b.i.s.s is lol)... I want the f5 to get started... then a DIY motorized dish (no idea how to do the wiring) then a better box

It can do motorised and also Softcams, what lets it down is the 5000 channel memory capacity there is just not enough, 5000 would be filled on just 5 satellites.
For an Extra few quid well ?80 to put it mildly you can get a Blade or a 5402 with 10,000 CHannel memory full 7 day EPG and a BISS and softcam memory system that is easy maintainable

5000 in the sat world is peanuts you have over a 1000 on 28.2? east over 1600 on 13? east over 1200 on 19.2? east you can see where i am going here.
What sort of channels do you want to view as a main source

I am possibly being stupid but what do you mean by anime channel because to me that either means Animation Cartoon Kids channel or the Japanese Manga style material, Like i said i may be being stupid

You are correct and more than likely dubbed into a foreign language with no english subtitles, I have see the Odd Manga style film shown on a few Arabic channels that keep the original Jap or english dubbed audio and then overlay there own subtitles, as i say only on the Odd ocassion

Those satellites listed with the channel you asked about are easily receivable in the UK with either a fixed dish for the satellite of choice or a motorised dish, Dish size is dependant on your location of course
