Hallo to all. I See a lot of requests for Hot Start repair in VAG Group (Audi VW Seat Skoda) vehicles.

It is common know that VAG group 1.9TDI PD engines have typical error. They are starting good in could state, but when the engine temperature is over 80?C the engine is starting very poor. It need some time to start.

The problem is in Coolant temperature dependent injection starting maps. The engine is not injecting any fuel when the coolant temp is high and RPM-s are not high enough.

Second problem is faulty camshaft sensor. The symptoms are the same just when you put modified software in the ECU there is no change, and the car is still staring poor. But this is detectable via diagnosis.

So I think is the best to put all those problems in one place :D

When you girls are posting your dumps, please give some typical amount of information too.

Its not good to raise the torque all the way from the 0 RPM, but you can always change the Axis value ;)

mislav88 teach you good ;)

But why carsoftware change the "Starting torque after clamp 50" map ?.... I never change that map and all car work ok ... now will start eaven better with your knowledge - little hint :)

Those generic software are sometimes stupid :)

But anyway it is not good for the engine if you are giving so much fuel increase.

This is Volta solution. Whole map is lifted to the sky. If my file dont help you then you also have other problems, I dont inject before 50 RPM - axis modification.

Now you injecting a lot more then manufacturer have ever imagine :) even in those areas where you actually didnt have a problem before.

You read eeprom and from that you only can see for example PIN, VIN, Mileage...
You need to read flash with some flasher like MPPS, Galleto or without OBD read with BDM.

So, with these file ecu is blocked! Does not start a car on cold too. VCDS can not access to the trouble so, i put back original file and start on cold.

I will inform you as soon as possible. In any case checksum was done by FGtech and I check it too. Ecu replied on diagnostics but no possibilities to go to parametars. With original file it worked till 51 Celsius.

PPD dont have software strategy for hot start as bosch, if have long start is becausa something dont work properly on engine or sensors

Hello ! I have a problem with a 2006 Passat 1.9TDI BXE . Can someone help me please ?
I have used MPPS v12 to read the file

Edit : I tried to modify by myself the hot start map using winols but i don't know if it is ok. The problem is that i receive an error from MPPS : download not accepted at around 89 90 % when i try to write the modified file. If i write the original file it is ok.

Hello ! I tried to write the modified file for my Passat BXE with the mpps but it stops at 86% and i get an Download not accepted Error and it won't continue. If i load and write the original file everthing is ok . Is it a problem with my MPPS ? Is Galletto better ?

Just try file without checksum.MPPS do it autochecksum.

You have to use a "can" protocol. But I see mpps hasn't it. Use galletto if you have it.

You shouldnt get problem with that file. Check hall sensor first, then injectors.

I see Carbon7319 posted another file probably with more fuel on start map than mine, if your engine is in good condition that file should work. If second file not work i think you should check camshaft hall sensor.
