I have a problem connecting my laptop using Allison Doc ver 8 and my nexiq usb-link
It connects to data viewer fine but when I try to connect to the transmission it connects and brings up all the information then after 2 or 3 seconds disconnects, I've tried 2 different laptops with ver 8 installed same thing. While I was there I connected to the Cat engine with my nexiq usb-link and it worked,
Any suggestions?

Unclick auto connect and click connect-advanced setup. Then choose the exact interface and connection J1939, J1708 or J1850. With the DPA5 I have to use this method or it will kick me every time.

Thanks guys but I still get invalid password. I went into redgit and changed date so I have 365 days to activate.Only thing is I can't reprogram. Had 8.4 running fine and then screwed up and went to 10. That's was a nightmare so I thought I'd go back to 8.

every time I install the software into the computer OS Window 7 x64, always out error: "Error removing old version ATDT", even though the old program already was clean because I've reformatted the system of operation.

It is just a five digit number, so just type in 12345 and then the key. If that does not work then try six numbers but I thought it was five.
