ford IDS VCM usage to change VIN number

hi guys

has any1 used for VCM before to marry up units to the car
my mate bought a smashed up motor and replaced the modules
the car starts n runs fine but the numbers in teh moudules and on diagnostics aint corresponding with teh vehicle

can ford vcm do this ?

if so how is it done ?

TBH I don't know if the clone will do it or not but I don't see why not. I did a 2008 transit the other day with genuine tool and you don't need internet access to do it... just download BCM Configuration from vehicle adjust and write back.. If you want the ASBUILT DATA then you won't be able to do that with clone.
