I'm running xp sp2... I've downloaded warcraft 2 from a site which doesn't open. I've later learnt that I should use dosbox to open it. So finally after a few hours of torment I got it to open bt now at single player mode it asks for a cd. I have downloaded a few cracks and I just can't seem to get past this point. I'm at the verge of pulling my hair out. Does any1 have experience in this field as I clearly don't
Would really appreciate it:afraid:

make a folder on ur C drive call games
extract warcraft 2 game into game folder
look at the dos files find the exe
so
example war2.exe
open dosbox
type this
mount c c:\games
then c:\
this should bring up the C:\ command
then type the exe of ur game n it should run
so
example C:\war2.exe
if u made a sub folder in ur games folder then u will have to call the subfolder before the exe
so from start to finish
example
mount c c:\games
C:\cd warcraft2 - If u called the subfolder that
C:\war.exe
that should run the game
so looking at the picture
i have made a folder in my c drive called games
i have made a subfolder within called fodder
so
i call the game directory
call the c drive
then call the subfolder of the game alway with cd in front of the subfolder name
then call the application/exe
i havent got enought time atm to show u how to configure dos so automaticly put in game directory and have u just put in the subfolder and game exe only
hope this helps
some game u can download from ere http://www.oldschooldos.com/allgames.php
Edit: in the folder of extracted files u will also see install or setup app/exe's
on the command line select one of those app/exe to setup sound a gfx
