Hi all. Does anyone know what abs unit will fit this car. Had coherence faults . Renewed the cv joints complete with rings are other ones were not to well. Sensors are reading okay at the ecu plug. Voltage is same on both from wheels. So the information coming from the sensor is good seems like the ecu is not recognizing them so just wondering if I need a new lump to throw in. If so does anyone know what is compatible my abs pump is a teves mk 60 9649027080 any help on what part numbers I can use would be a great help. Thanks in advance

Cheers meat but problem with what I have seen on eBay. The pins on my ecu are two at either end and 3 rows inbetween.. ones I have seen on eBay tend to be 4 pins at one side. The odd one on their are 250 to 300 price range. That's a bit steep. Are these plug and play for you know. Your one under your bench is it like mine with two big pins at each end. Power at one end and earth's at the other. It's not regenerating either. Put that down to speed sensing

not sure about the one at work even if it's still there.
ok do you a deal - from what your saying game on
buy the CHEAPEST one with the four pins and try it - if it don't work link the missing pin to that end
NOTE
RUMOR GOING AROUND the 206 abs plug is AMBIDEXTRIOUS but only works one way
often find at one end 2 pos other end 2 negs

Have you checked the usual, tyre size, rust between sensor and hub increasing airgap and if the reluctor rings correct?

im with autosocket normally coherance means the signal is there just not seeing the correct waveform.

Well settle argument. Drop front tires to 28 psi inflate rear to 32. Dont tell punter

Hi mate. Yes the cv joints are new complete with rings.. The rear wheels are working fine so tomorrow I am planning on running a lead from the rear sensor to the front sensor connector. Fooling the ecu. If I get no response it has to be the be the ecu. Well that's my theory.. oh meat. Seen a few cheap one on eBay. so will take a chance with it if it doesn't work the way I hope it will tomorrow.

what faults do you have?

Hi mate. It's just the coherence faults with the abs but i think it's causing the air bag to throw up one of its own. Speed related to.. The new sensors I put on just over a year ago look to be very temperamentle. . One minute you get reading next you don't. So ordered two new ones.. hopefully this will fix it. It's only the front. Rear work great.

have you done the air gaps on the rear sensors also clean the bearing encoder with brak cleaner and blow it off with an airline dont wipe the encoded seal.

Hi mate. Yes. Took the rear sensors out over the weekend and gave the lot a good clean. They work fine. The abs unit is doing what it should. Locking. Unlocking the wheels when testing it in the parameters of pp. One thing I did notice when on the configuration setting was configured for the wrong engine. Changed it but didn't make any difference. New sensor are in the post so will give them a go when they come

hi all, well update on this, faults gone, including the engine one relating to the speed fault, so never take it for granted that the sensor is working, mine were but they were both temperamental so two new ones off ebay and two fancy led sidelights for free, nice they are too, working great, 24 quid for two as opposed to the 39 i paid for one, only the silly fuel cap sensor to sort out now, new one ordered but its a tank off from what i gather, thanks for the imput men, much appreciated.

Ah wounder if to the naked eyre were fine but yo the ecu not working
so in the end how many faults on abs?

hi meat, on the abs it was just coherence on both front, like i say it started with near side, put a new one on, after a few days off side had the same fault so changed that, that worked for a day or two then off side went again quickly followed by the nearside, fault on the whole system were airbag one, putting that light on, speed related, had dash problem, with +12 short to earth and the engine faults, again speed related maximum speed exceeded, but all gone now, well apart from the fuel cap sensor, but thats the only fault, sort that one during the week, as for the old sensors they look ok, but must be braking down inside,

yer this keeps signing me out of this this new site for some reason, never mind, yer i would be still playing about now if i had went into the dash, engine speed sensor and airbag faults, would have turned into a nightmare, as it happens it was two crap wheel sensors causing all the bother, from start to finish
