Been looking for a new vu duo there currently on e-bay
for around ?180-?230 for a clone.

Ordered an original vu duo for ?217 from waeplus.co.uk they also have vu solo 2 from ?244 seems good value as there on e-bay for around ?310

Avoid the clones people on e-bay there are some greedy sellers
on there

unfortunately the old adage here applies, if it seems to good to be true it usually is.

You may be lucky but 30 quid more would have got you one from a more reputable dealer, it's not the initial payment you should worry about it's the aftersales that kills the deal.

Could not agree more, which is why i bought my Solo2 from WoS. yes i could have bought one from the continent a little cheaper but i know and trust WoS and his excellent aftersales support.
