do not forget to reset the BCM first off all before you put back the dash

You can reset BCM by putting dash back in vehicle without chip in, turn ignition on for a few minutes, them take dash back out and replace chip

Like batandball said it will reset if you place the dash back in with out chip and run for a few minutes.

What did you read dash chip with?

Digiprog procedure (in broken english)

Expand the instrument and remove the rear Kunststoffab-cover.
Search the OKI28C16A chip and solder him by the Board.
Now refit the instrument cluster and make the ignition for 2 minutes.
Reconstruct the speedometer. Put the OKI28C16A chip on ST40 (point of chip to PIN 1, see plug view) and associate it with the DIGI PROG.
Choose the program: car / truck - Land Rover - RANGE ROVER CHIP. The DIGI PROG shows you the current mileage. Give the new mileage

What h/w did you use to read/write to chip with

Does digiprog clone come with ST40 adapter ? I looked everywhere but can't find one

No it don't come with it and original adaptor is expensive especially if it don't work so maybe better to buy willem programmer
