Audi A6 battery control module defective

I have 00003 fault code (defective control module) in battery control module of 2006 audi a6. Is there any fix instead of replacing it?

vag number is: 4F0 915 181 A

What Software is on it ? If under 4F0 910 181 E - Software 0490 , then it can be updated.
Maybe that would solve the problem ?!
