Cummins Insite v7.6 and Nexiq Adapter

To save frustration for everyone:

If you upgrade to Cummins Insite v7.6.0, you will be able to read 2013 model year engines. However, the J1708 will stop working and nothing will connect on the 6-pin connector.

You must upgrade to at least v7.6.1 (They have a couple versions after this as well) AND use the latest Nexiq USB Link driver (v9.0.1.0).

If you only upgrade one but not the other, it will not work. Cummins Insite Tech support and Nexiq Tech Support confirmed all of this.
