Yes the serial is coded in bin1. For example 4.82 soft serial 61 0C F8 0F 00 00 is in dump 83 4D 5F 53 E7 17 68 CE. So mathematical genius wanted. PM me for more serials with checksum. I still can not find the algo. Time will learn :-).

Try paul_12345 in Locksmith forum. He's a pretty clued up guy. Might also want to try pattern matching to see what results can be procured from that.

i think if your digi is from yanhua than every machine has diferent serial,i think then you will not repair your toll,will be hard,if your toll is the clone clone than are the serials all the same,than you need find corect files and try it with flash direct to the two chips, when iam wrong corect me please ;)

You can only repair it by removing the 28F800 chips and flash them again with the right software for your serial no. If you don't want that and sell the box tell me.

What if I get the software with the same serial? I don't mind to repair it since it is dead. At least I get to know how it works and if there is some info or instruction how to fix it. If not, I will swap with original for $2500 and turn in the clone:smile:

Peter has explained what you need to do mate ... you find the sw with your serial number on it ... (good luck) .. you remove the flash chips and reflash .. job done .. its not exactly Einstien stuff .... if you had read the thread a few pages back you would have seen that I already used the fake .. Yesterday, my Digiprog 3 odometer programmer crashed and a blue screen of death message popped up when I was trying to upgrade the tool. The DP3 was an original tool bought from a obd2 shop (http://www.aobd2shop.com/) last year. No problem had occurred to it before. As the seller said they provide lifetime after service, so I contacted their customer service for help.
The customer service was Apple. She said V4.88 was already the newest software version and gave me a solution to the problem after I asked her how to fix Digiprog 3 (http://www.aobd2shop.com/wholesale/best-digiprog-iii-odometer-master-programmer.html) Blue Screen of Death. I tried the method she provided and finally solved the problem. The solution requires a little solder knowledge. If you do not know how to solder a board, take it to someone that knows before you damage it.
Now we have made that clear, let us have a look at the solution:
Step 1 Disassemble DP 3 (http://www.aobd2shop.com/wholesale/best-digiprog-iii-odometer-master-programmer.html) hardware and get access to the integrated circuit board.
Step 2 Remove the jump line between X1 and C30. Location of the jump line is marked in the picture below:
