I know a few hobbyists that dont watch any :eek: They are purely in it for the educational purposes. Like hackers. They get a buzz doing it whilst learning at the same time!

I think for a 'hobbyist' it's more about seeing what can be achieved rather than actually sitting down and watching a lot of tv.

Personally I find the tinkering with stuff aspect more fun than the actual tv content you receive.

As already mentioned i hardly watch it either,enjoy the hacking & feed hunting side of things,spent hundreds of pounds on stuff over the years since the D2mac days lol....

I record loads of things but mainly for testing and very rarely watch TV unless i'm at work and bored senseless.
