View Full Version : W211 mercedes ECU Swap.HELP PLEASE

I had to buy a new ECU for my cousin 270 CDI w211 mercedes cus the car didnt wanted to start sometimes (no glowplug light)
I got a used ECU with 2 keys eis.Car start fine but it doesnt drive fine.I get several lights on my dash like SRS washer fluid level, alternator light.How can i configure/codify the new ecu ?I have Star C4.

I supose this car have one EDC16 ECU, if i?m right best option is BDM.

Idk i have changed ecu 2 keys EIS, car starts fine but i have a lot of lights on the dash

Mate try to clone full ecu to the new , or just the eeprom.

This is the easiest way. The problem is the wrong VIN in the new ECU.

If u clone the old to the new one , the vin is not a problem
