Car was left with low battery. Tried jump start and battery swap, now remote key won't unlock via remote, central locking doesn't work when car opened with key blade, and if key in ignition on position 2 or 3 indicators lights flash.
No codes for key not matching immo.
Tried syncing the key with autodata procedure with no luck.
Tried adding the old remote key again to the system using IDS/VCM. This says there was an error when performing this but doesn't give any info.
The tried deleting keys and adding them again but this didn't work (maybe because I only have one remote flip key and one emergency key)
Do I need another remote key in order to complete this?

Hi
Can you please clear your question.........Will the vehicle start..? I mean is the Immobiliser side OK...?
Regarding the Remote Fob as you have already mentioned the vehicle has been standing for a long did you check if the remote fob battery is good and when you press the fob is there any signals..........?

Wow - thanks for all the replies - I kept checking back for a few days then I've been too busy to get on the forum.
First thing I did was check all the fuses - box in dashboard and box by passenger footwell (rhd car) - all fuses ok. I didn't check the main fuse to the engine fusebox but if that had gone I would expect everything to be dead.
Key fob appears good - bright led and tried battery swap with no success.
Car will not crank at all. I noticed when shining a light at the dash there is a little key sign that doesn't illuminate at any time.
Also I checked with IDS and the central locking ECU (RKE) claims it still had two programmed keys so now I don't think I need to reprogram the keys as I first suspects.
I've also noticed a few funny things - one I should have mentioned - pin 16 of the odb connector has no power - I had to power VCM up via external power supply.
Also the interior light doesn't work as well as the drivers side electric window (RHD car). I'm wondering if the interior light is linked to the immobilser/key system as you need to press the switch to manually resync key - I tested the switch is ok.
The fact that a couple of bits aren't working makes me thing fuse, but all have been checked. I really would love a wiring diagram so I could see what else is on the same circuit as pin 16 of ODB connector - I'm really tempted to join a wire to that from the battery + terminal but I don't like plugging wires to places unless I know what else I could damage.
Also IDS reported all ECU's passed - if it was a fuse issue I would expect IDS to fail an ECU as it couldn't communicate with it.

pin 16 is normally fed by a fuse that also supplies some other stuff such as interior lights, fag lighter etc etc, but you will still have comms with all ecus.
But autodata has no data on this one, I would try powering pin 16 with a 10 amp fused feed.
