X5 2006 NEED DASH DUMP PLEASE!!!! HELP!!

I am in a really big jam here!!!
35080v6 chip slipped from my hand and damaged pins CANT READ!?!

My cluster info is >BMW 62.11-6 979 572 P/N?

HW 26
SW 23

Dont know what else is needed but if anyone can help??? please!!1:afraid::afraid:

You will need to read the data from the old eeprom or have it coded. If you use a dump from another vehicle in this dash you will get "CODE" show up in dash. Solder wires to the pins and you will be able to read. If there is not enough pin showing, grind the chip down with a dremil until you can solder on it.

if no success to grind and read eeprom, you can use dump from other car, just need to change vin, but of course better to get ori dump.

Changing vin does not work. Tried it myself. Car will run ok but says "CODE" in mileage display. Must be some other code in it or maybe I was just unlucky and dump was corrupt. Anyway, I am doing a 58 plate tomorrow. I will check soft and hardware versions and if they're ok and you still need I will post. As I presume you are in America, it should be good for you as we are both still in miles.

Grind and was able to solder chip correct but not recoignize...... with X-prog I can put on dip socket correct?

I can code vehicle if someone has a dump for a similar X5 , I only have for a 07 RR sport, E60, and E90....dont think any of those will work? Or do they?

Are you sure you solder the wires correct? 35080's have different config to other eeproms. UPA will read these easily. Is it Diesel or petrol?

Its petrol and my upa not working for some reason. Waiting on response from elrasoft for fix.
With providing and carprog I can't read. ???
All types of bad luck for me today :(

Dssh alone won't be enough for that, plus not really hard to get vin no anyway....

I would take any dump for X5 dash, I can code and change vin myself, I tried everything I can since yesterday .....Anyone?

Ok I finally get donor dash and try to read and rewrite, I was able to read and rewrite with xprog, I will try with my UPA but need someone if anyone can help with this this dump?

If you can't start your X5 (E53 body) with a used cluster, I assume the car is equppied with a Navi where you have to enter an immo code. Otherwise as said by o-dog you can start the engine without the cluster. The EWS comes coded to your car. No need of any coding but just a DME-EWS alignment. If the engine does not crank that's 100% what it is. Don't play with the EWS4. Just find someone to to align it. Indeed you can do that with Pasoft or edibas/inpa or DIS (bmw official software). the alignment takes about a couple of minutes. Now for your cluster, you just have to change the VIN inside (last 7 of the VIN) and all the DSC/ABS and tamper proof dot will disappear. Some other fault related lights will turn as you drive. Again the instrument cluster has NOTHING to do with your immobilizer (EWS=Electronic Watchdog System).
