i just replied to your PM - B3 to BKGD, B5 to reset , VCC and GND will be no problem i guess.....I Always use UPA which i think is more user-friendly than Xprog....good luck !

I did this alfa today, i read as yellostillo described, used x prog m, it would read but verify failed every time.

I ran dump in zedbull and i got pincode, and pre coded a 48 transponder, I didnt want to write image file back to mcu due to verify error when reading.

But all worked ok, programmed with SBB and all good, thanks for your help.

What is best programmer for auto use, orange or upa? Its become obvious that x prog is not that good, I have quite a few problems with it :(

A v1.2 UPA clone works ok for little money, i think Orange is a very good programmer but it will cost much more than a UPA?

I posted it, it's a DG128 Stilo body computer - the Alfa BC might be a DG256 one which has a different pcb....

Edit - the connections of the last pictures are ok for your pcb....

instead of verify just do 2 reads and use hexcmp to compared the files

Thanks for the help guys, used Pauls tip compared files had many differences, I have 2 identical xprogs with dongle updated one of them but still continue to use the old one, old one gave me verify error. wipped out the one with Siera update 5.55 read perfectly. Thanks for all the help Gents.
