Hi all got a 1gb maxell stick from Asda and having trouble formatting the thing in the SV4 box. When i press the yellow button to format the thing it briefly pops up a format failed error message and still leaves 2 empty folders that were already on the stick, a back up folder and a data folder not sure if these are from the starview or not. I can format on my Pc but have read of getting the 8882 error if not formatted via the box.
Is it a case of sticking the stick in and pressing the format button or does something have to be done first.

cheers Naz

Thanks mate, just got it going and everything was ok. Got 3 more boxes to do, now this might sound like a stupid question but do i have to reformat the stick for each box or can the software on the stick now be used for each separate box.

cheers Naz

No m8. The Sv4 is a cable box. you need a live cable feed

Cheers All got them all going no probs i used the 1.07 firmware and made sure i turned off the box at the switch on the back when inserting and taking out the stick.
I am quite impressed with this box i like the epg and the picture looks better than the version 3 box i had before.
