Spanish T300 8.5 will supposedly read type 2 Chrysler. I had version 9.9 Spanish but it bricked on me before I had a chance to check it on type two. That noise you hear is my teeth grinding....

It would help if you could post what software version, and whether Spanish or English.

To answer your first question, T300 will do type 2 if you have proper dongle, red aftermarket. Dongle that comes with t300 generally does not work. Most Engish T-300 will not pull pin code, use little red aftermarket box, works well. Or have customer get pin from Dealer...

You need a plain brass key and a unprogrammed transponder key to complete this.
1. Insert brass key and turn all the way on
2. Choose correct skim read from the menu and follow instructions on screen.
3. Remove brass key and wait a couple seconds then reinsert brass key and turn all the way on, press enter.
4. Remove brass key and insert transponder key, turn all the way on press enter.
5. Wait until skim code appears on screen.
Like Camelgd said, use this with T300, it works good.

Just a quick bump: I ordered a kp 819 to cover some Ford and Chrysler, because it was a big discount and on sale cheap. I will let everyone know how it works on type 2 chryslers when I get it in, as well as everything else..

It always works out that no matter how good my price is, someone always finds it cheaper. Murphy's law of buying Chinese clones.....

I don't think KP819 will work pulling pin on old type 2 chrysler, just new CAN systems. It would be nice to be proven wrong though.....

From what I have seen on youtube, it's one of the things it does very well, also type I, as well as type 2. Yoy may be thinking of kp-818, it is a different tool, with a different menu, closer to x100+.

The jeep they are doing in that youtube video doesn't look like an old type 2 to me, it looks a lot newer, read this advertisement too, only good after 2006.

You may be right, I'm not one to argue with someone who I know has more transponder knowledge under his belt than I do. The videos that I watched had them selecting Chrysler type two from the menu, unless that means something else on their menu, I took it to mean what it said. In any case, we will find out in just a short time because it is on the way.I volunteer to be the official kp819 tester!!:hmmmm2:KP 819 auto key programmer - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeH7-kjML70)

It's still useful Camel, it will be worth it for the chryslers it does, even if you keep it as a backup...............

KP-819 won't do old type 2 chrysler, use T300 and this adapter, it works for me.

I should be able to use the adapter with MVP and OBD cable I think?

Yes.
Though it might be easier to get hold of original dongles. I got mine off another lockie that upgraded to the pro. LSC only asked for MVP/100 back not the cables (this is the norm).
Scored Chrysler type 1/2, Commodore and Mitsubishi.

This is a Pacifica system according to my T code manual this thread might help: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f177/05-chrysler-pacifica-283806/ T-300 should do it, read Ray-Ray's entry on the thread.

T300 can't synchronise any jeep like jeep grand cherokee year 2005?
Automat
27th June, 2013, 03:43 PM
The only "re-synch" type function t300 has that I am aware of is old ford "parameter-reset" , nothing chrysler, only key programming.
