Fiat & CANCHECK

Hello,

I have troubles with my Fiat Grande Punto and Audio system.

I have purchased used car with "working" radio, soon I have found out that the CD unit was full of coins (kids from previous owner used it as piggy bank :mad:) After I cleaned out the radio I have come to two conclusions: radio said "CANCHECK" and I was without the 4-digit code. Since I don't know if the radio is OK I decided to buy a second hand radio from Fiat Linea which has the same type of radios. I received the radio, conected it to the car and again I get the message "CANCHECK", before I even get the chance to enter any code. The Fiat dealer said that it is possible becouse it is from other type, but also that he can't help me.

Now I have two radios who don't work and a lot of questions ...
- is it possible to fix the EEPROM in that way that the CANCHECK and CODE are disabled?
- if the CANCHECK is disabled will the comands from steering wheel still work?

First radio (with coins) is:

The second file works! Radio starts, but due to the problems mentioned above there is no sound - I have to fix this.

Can someone take a look at the atached file for the second radio - Fiat D323, details:

I have the same problem here. Bought a 199cd radio for a linea car (original radio type 323). Now only cancheck is visible. :-(
