if i buy my self a one meter motorized dish set up would a skybox f3 be a good box to use to get going,i have read the tutorials on how to setup a motorized system im just a bit stuck at what angle you set the motor (does this info come when you buy it)and what angle you set the dish before you put it all togeather to face south im after getting channels like digisport and aljazerra for the football

good tutorial i think i can follow that but do i have to use a technomate box, can i use a f3 box
i want to be able to add something that can not be talked about but only know how to use the f3 so setting up my dish and motor to the tutorial and useing a f3 box to tune in on the satalite

You can use any satellite receiver of your choosing, The principles set out in the guide remain the same

If the f5's are like the s9's then there was a limit as to how many channels it would hold ( either 3000 or 5000), i had to delete a lot of channels i would never watch and just kept the movies and sports from all the foreign sats. A bit more time consuming but not hard to do

The F3 and F5 both have a 5000 channel limit enough probably for most people on the most popular satellites if you dont scan for Radio and Data channels then he should be fine

if your funds are limited then for an extra ?15 then a ferguson ariva 102e would be a better choice imo as it has 3rd party patched firmware for softcam/biss and ethernet and isnt from prc,regards mdt
