zafira z18xe immo fault

i have a 2003 zafira z18xe with immo light flashing, no faults in immo but have wrong or no transponder fault in ecu.

If i reset ecu the re program, car starts , but turn off and leave for a min then back to the ori fault.

Do i have a faulty ecu or immo unit?

Any one been here before?

Could it be the Transponder faulty. Giving intermittant signals.

no, transponder been changed, the only way I can get this to start is to reset the ecu, then re program, then it will start only once.

I also have an exact same fault on a 2002 vectra 2.2 petrol z22se, but I cant reset engine ecu as security wait time is active, yet no one has tried to enter any pin codes!!

Getting a collection of vauxhalls next to my collection of renaults now :)

Managed to find same ecu from scrap yard for the z18xe, programmed it in and all good, so fault was the ecu, also, I could not read pin from old ecu, but worked fine with new one.
