Hi can anyone tell me how to obtain the pin code for a mk5 vw golf to enable a login with vcds to change a instrument cluster.
I went to remove the eprom from the old dash in the car but someone had been playing before me & had cracked the little chip.
I tried to read prior to removal but to no avail then when I went to remove it the sda leg side fell off !!!!!
So would explain why the car was cutting out on the owner with immo probs & faulty clocks !! Someone should have left the mileage alone ! lol
So can I extract the pin from the ecu or the body controller & which is the easiest to read (Ie plain little eprom & not the mcu)
It looks like a Bosch edc15 stuck under the windscreen.
Though the body controller is easier opened !!
