sorry for asking: Why do you need a long list?

From my point you have to decide bout:
- what budget would you like to spend
- what cars - (brands) would be more often in your hands
- what years - this info gives you what type of ECU will you face off
- what other vehicles would you possible have in your hands: motorbikes, truck etc.

Than you will know more or less - what tool fits to your needs.

hi dont be sorry i appreciate u for asking me this

sorry for asking: Why do you need a long list?
so that i can make my decision - to go for which tool [ after reading the cars list (ecu) and their updates list ]
From my point you have to decide bout:
- what budget would you like to spend
not actually bothering for the budget right now, but of course not too high as its just the beginning
- what cars - (brands) would be more often in your hands
mostly for asian and european brands
- what years - this info gives you what type of ECU will you face off
will be great if it covers all types till present
- what other vehicles would you possible have in your hands: motorbikes, track etc.
only cars and trucks
Than you will know more or less - what tool fits to your needs.

regards

According to "only cars and trucks" - with this constraint the tools are not so many.
According to "mostly for asian and european brands" - with this constraint the tools will be less :) too.

Most of the Asian brands are using devices from DENSO consortium.

In this moment I do not know if you can find one single very powerful tool which will sustain more than 50% of the both constraints written above.

Q: In the very beginning: What brands will have the highest probability to be in your hands? (Asian or European)?

This will relax a little bit the constraint!

OK - This is a very good tool - quality / price / support.

I recommend to you the following package:

i would like to flash vw audi, and american trucks like suburban tahoe yukon denali elsaclade etc

for vw audi - most of the tools on the market are good for vag group.
Here you can have a good tool with a small budget comparing with the one for trucks!

for trucks, hmmmmm - it is not so easy to find one specific tool!

You should check wich company gives you better support and protection for your investment. CMD and Alientech are TOP, not cheap, but very good companies with excellent support. Byteshooter is a good tool also, and to work with tricore , Magicmotorsport is the best, also good support as far as I know.
Make a small experience, contact all them and see who gives you more attention. :)
Beware of what they charge for annual fees, some can be quite daunting (CMD) :D

I own the full magpro kit,
Great service from magpro staff, alot of free services, and they will try to fix the ecu fast for you if you brick it.
a fair price for yearly subscription and the tools dont stop working if you decide to not pay the yearly fee.
Also good instructions for beginners (how to open ecus, how to connect on edc 17, how to bdm edc16... alot of free usefull info when you start your buisiness.)
