its only 5400 rpm with 8mb of cache 320gb of storage.
for something faster with more buffer you'll need to fork out more eg: 320gb sata2 7200rpm with 16mb will run you 60 quid Seagate ST9320421AS 320GB 2.5" Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 16MB Cache - OEM - Ebuyer (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/145603)

for comparable 500gb drives your talking 85 quid for a low end and upwards of 100 for a high end.
