I have alligned my dish and I definitely know it is facing in the right direction for SKY UK Channels and the Signal strength is around 75% on the channels but it keeps coming up with invalid program search again. How can I fix this problem?

Does it show this on FTA channels, or just $ channels?

Like Hadron hints at in the new firmware from bi union instead of scrambled it shows invalid program take a look here bi union (http://www.bi-union.com/en/xiazai/xiazaiDetail_96.html).
We can't discuss about the little extra you might need but if you already have it and are still having problems then might be able to help with that.

Are you absolutely sure the dish is correctly aligned? It will give that message if you are pointing at the wrong satellite, there are several quite close together and a basic sat meter will not differentiate between them.

It turns out its not right and I'm getting all these german channels now. Before I was getting Asian and now I'm getting these German channels. I just don't know what to do.

You should get that Tech Wizz brother in law back who set it up on 9? east in the first place i am pretty sure he can find another satellite thats no where 28.2? east, with him doing dishes i will never be out of work LOL.

On a serious note if you dont have a cheap sat finder then your next best option is to load AJ's 28.2? east channel list then pick any channel well Channel 4HD will be best as this Booms in then get a friend or the Brother in law then one watch the TV and another turn the dish in small increments until you get a signal/picture on the TV.

You are probably on 19.2e not too far from where you should be, first thing to do is upload a channel list, AJ's is best IMO, this will give you the English channels tune into BBC1 then make tiny adjustments to your dish until you get a picture, you can get the general direction you should be pointing by looking at your neighbours dish, if you have a smart phone apps like satellite director or dish pointer can also help and lastly you can go to this website dispointer.com (http://www.dishpointer.com/) put your address in choose astra 28.2e as your satellite and it will give you a visual guide to where your satellite should be pointing.

I think I'm better doing it myself than my brother in-law now. I ordered a Satellite finder on eBay yesterday and it was ?13 it should come sometime this week, and I'll put AJ's Channel List on there and put it on Channel 4 or BBC1. So as I'm moving the dish the channel should just display picture by itself straight away without having to do anything right?

Go to Channel 4HD as i explained and not any of the BBC's as C4HD is located on Astra 2F which is the strongest satellite located at 28.2? east the BBC's are still on 1N, After you locate Channel 4HD and have a good signal then swap channel to CBS Action one of the lowest transponders on Eutelsat 28A and fine tune on that channel when done on that channel all the others will be optimised

To realign the dish just do what you did the first time...only a little bit more!

You need to move it a little bit further in the same direction you did the first time. There is only another 10 degrees to go before you reach 28.2e. As digicon & mahrkpat said, use the F5 as your tuning aid.

Hi, everything is working great and I'm getting all the channels but one small problem is that on the Standard Definition channels they don't seem to be as clear as the ones on our Virgin Media box? Is it like this anyway or do I need to do something? Thanks in advance.
