help to solve trasmission fault benz w168 A190 1998 model

hello friends
pls i have a benz A190 automatic transmission
when i start it and drive it will still on the first gear cant go to the 2nd
also when i put drive it show D on the cluster when it should change to the 2nd gear it show F and dont change
i tried to did diagnostic with star it show (engine controller fault) can be ignored
any idea?

Probably gearbox have a mechanical problem - the turbine not to make enough pressure or not properly read a sensor for speed.
